Seifu Seyoum the ex official of the Ethiopian Television

Seifu Seyoum after his defect to the United States of America various Ethiopian media outlets labeled him as an agent of Woyane. It is my Christian duty to tell the truth for those who blamed and portrayed him as a woyane.

Seifu is the youngest son of the late Colonel Seyoum Chefike . I grew up with him. He was born Ethiopian, live Ethiopian.

In 1991 when TPLF army marched to Addis Seifu took the leading role coordinating big demonstration that oppose TPLF. He narrowly escaped the bullets of Woyane in front of the Ministry of Defense.

Not only Seifu I remember another guy by the name Hailemelekot who led series of oppositions against TPLF. Seifu was the supporter of the Ethiopian Peoples  Revolutionary Party. He continued coordinating these demonstrations for months. Later he stopped he turned his face to the Church the Ethiopian Orthodox Church  Sunday school. There he set up solid foundation for Sunday school teaching. When I met him once he said ‘ Political power is the gift of GOD, how could we achieve success at the expense of the lives of the innocent…this is a problem while some are dying others are sleeping waiting for the out come. The victory of TPLF is the victory of a new system over the old. It is not the belief of a party but the commitment of the public that would brought change”

At that particular moment I was shocked to hear such a comment but soon after the 2005 post election fragmentation I understood that Seifu was right.

Acording to Seifu  in EPRDF too there are parties who are lagging and parties that are advancing for him TPLF is lagging and ANDM is marching.

Seifu has enemies

Those who portrayed Seifu as if he is the one who is working for the dominance of Amhara in ETV

For Seifu ANDM except it’s founders is largely populated by backward farmers therefore he said “ ANDM either has to change it’s name to EPRP or EDM  to get prominence and multiply it’s members.

Seifu believed OLF and TPLF former members are hiding in OPDO and TPLF for another round of extremist politics therefore he said it is time for ANDM to change its name and structure.

He has sacrificed a lot in ETV for change. It is the conspiracy of those who believed Seifu sidelined the Oromiffa and Tigrigan programmes that made him defect.
